A Spring Day in August

DAY TWO HUNDRED AND NINETEEN

Kahlua and I went out for a little hike this morning and the weather was incredible. It was almost 9 o'clock and the temperature was less than 80ยบ Is it really August?

Kahlua is ready to go! She keeps looking back at me as if to say, "Hurry up, slow poke!".

On an earlier hike it looked like there might be a trail up on this side of this wash so I figured we'd check it out.

But once we get over here it really doesn't look like much.

Nope, no trail here.

But when we make it back to the wash there are some piles of rocks and wonder who put those here and why. There doesn't seem to be any trails here.

This is interesting. It looks like there's a cave or something up on this hill with some rocks purposely put there to block the entrance.

I wonder if that could be anything. I'll have to come back without Kahlua sometime and check it out.

We do find some other rock creations on the way back.

Even though it is "cool" by desert standards for August it still is warm for walking around on the rocks. Hey Kahlua, hurry up, slowpoke!
